Your things

Keep your car, house, appliances and pets in one place, with what was done and what's next.

Open My things in the menu and tap Add a thing: your car, your furnace, your stand mixer, your dog. Give it a name. The rest is up to you: the brand, the model, the year, when you got it, the warranty.

What was done, and what's next

Photos

Tap Add a photo under its name, pick what it is, and take or choose a picture:
- Photo: what it looks like.
- Rating plate: the little label with the model and serial number (inside a door, on the back). A repair shop can find the right parts from it.
- Receipt: proof of when and where you bought it, for the warranty. Receipts stay private to you and the people you invite: a business never sees them.

A thing can have up to 20 photos. The first photo shows in your list.

Share it with your household

Under Who can see it, tap Invite someone and choose Can see or Can change. Copy the link (or tap Share) and send it to them. The link works once, for 7 days. They tap it, sign in, and tap Accept.

Tap Remove beside someone to stop sharing with them, or Cancel link for a link no one used yet. If someone shared a thing with you, tap Leave at the bottom of its page when you no longer need it.

Find help

Pick its Type (a furnace, a lawn mower) and Find help lists the kinds of work that fit it. Tap one to see businesses that do it, or Post a job.

Share it with a business

Under Shared with, tap Share with a business: pick one you've dealt with, or type its whodo address. It sees the thing, its photos (never receipts) and its history. When it finishes work on it, that work is added to your history (you can't remove it, but you can add your own). Tap Stop sharing any time: the business keeps its own records, and nothing new goes either way.

Serial numbers and VINs are kept locked. Only you see them in full; a business never does.

For businesses

Things your customers share with you are under Customers → Shared with you, with their photos. Link one to your record of it (whodo suggests records of the customer with the same email): your finished work orders and visit notes on that record are then added to the owner's history. Unlink stops that.
